About me

My name is Michelle Allen-Lee, and I am passionate about education, instructional leadership, and creating learning environments where both students and teachers thrive.

I have built my career in education with a strong commitment to supporting student growth and empowering educators. Over the years, I have worked in diverse instructional and leadership roles, with a focus on literacy development, curriculum design, and professional learning. My work is shaped by a belief in the transformative power of education and the importance of equipping both students and teachers with the tools they need for success.

The purpose of this blog is to document and reflect on my journey in instructional design, blended learning, and professional development. It serves as both a personal learning space and a professional portfolio, highlighting challenges, successes, and lessons learned along the way. Through these reflections, I hope to contribute to meaningful conversations about teaching, learning, and leadership in education.

Outside of my professional work, I enjoy reading across genres, especially educational research, biographies, and faith-based literature. Writing is another passion of mine, and blogging has become a way to merge reflection with professional growth. I also enjoy creative outlets such as painting, cooking, fishing, traveling, and exploring new ideas that expand both my personal and professional perspectives.

Looking ahead, my professional goals include advancing leadership in education by supporting the growth and development of teachers through high-quality professional learning opportunities. I am also committed to promoting literacy and equity so that all students, regardless of background, have access to rich and rigorous learning experiences. In addition, I aim to expand my expertise in blended and digital learning to better prepare educators for the evolving demands of modern classrooms. Finally, I strive to contribute to educational research and practice by sharing insights on curriculum, instruction, and the role of social-emotional learning in schools. Ultimately, my goal is to make a lasting impact in education by fostering environments where both students and educators can reach their full potential.

My vision

I envision this blog as a resource that empowers educators to view technology as a catalyst for meaningful learning, not just an addition. My aim is to encourage teachers to explore digital tools and social media in ways that enhance the curriculum, promote equity, and foster authentic engagement. I hope to spark conversations by offering practical strategies, reflections, and real-world examples about how technology can transform classrooms into connected, creative environments where students cultivate critical thinking and collaboration skills essential for their future. Ultimately, I hope this blog empowers educators to feel more confident, innovative, and intentional in their integration of technology.
